Seminar on : SME - The Challenges Ahead

In association with KASSIA. The seminar was to help support the growth of SME in the coming days ahead.

India's micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) form the backbone of its economy. They contribute close to 30 percent of the GDP and are a significant generator of employment, with nearly 6.33 crore MSMEs hiring 11 crore citizens.

As most of the SME are managed by single handed by an Entrepreneur, its very difficult to manage the finance, marketing and operation with limited strength. Given their small size, they are unable to be a part of the GST network and as a result, they are not obliged to maintain a set of financial records. Because of lack of formal documentation, banks are unable to carry out standard underwriting processes to assess an MSMEs credit worthiness. Resulting, MSMEs are forced to private lenders with higher rate of interest.

The Seminar was addressed by Industry and Financial experts on importance of GST. Finance management and efficient management of Industry.
